NEW DELHI PE ASSISTS IN THE REPATRIATION OF 300 STRANDED FILIPINOS IN INDIA FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, in coordination with the Private Charterer, Regent Travel Manila , and with the help of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai PCG, facilitated the repatriation of 47 stranded Filipinos in India aboard an Air Asia chartered flight to Manila on 30 September 2021 from Kolkata, India.
With these latest flights, the Embassy has facilitated the repatriation of more than 1729 OFs who were stranded in India and Nepal in eighteen (21) different flights and one sea voyage (through a Philippine Navy ship) since May 2020.
ANDC Meeting and Courtesy Call with Lt. Governor DK Joshi of the Andaman Local Government (24 September 2021)
Ambassador Ramon S. Bagatsing Jr. and other ASEAN Heads of Missions from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, met with Admiral (ret.) Lt. Governor DK Joshi, the highest official of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Administration, for a brief visit and courtesy call. The discussion was mainly about how to explore business, trade and investment opportunities between Andaman and ASEAN.
The Delegation then met with Chief Secretary Jitendra Narrain for a brief visit and courtesy call as well. Mr. Narrain echoed the Lt. Governor’s vision for the possibility of growth in investments and trade in the Islands, and also gave a brief overview of the Islands.
The meeting also included all the local officials of the Islands as well as officers of the Chamber of Commerce.
