FOR NEW STUDENTS:

Original acceptance letter from school – Must be 1) authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs, and 2) sent directly to the Embassy by post or courier (Attn: VISA SECTION). Scanned or photocopied letters submitted by fax, e-mail or in person by the applicant or agent will no longer be accepted. In order to minimize postage costs, schools may send letters of acceptance in batches.
- Proof of initial payment – To protect schools from being used by “students” simply looking for a way to enter the country for other purposes, applicants will be asked to produce proof of initial payment of at least USD 5,000 in the form of a bank transfer certificate. Said certificate must be original and must bear the name and signature of the authorized signatory, as well as the seal and complete contact information of the bank. It must also be supported by an account statement of the bank account from which the payment was made. In the case the bank account is not in the applicant’s name, an affidavit of sponsorship must be included.
- Proof of receipt of initial payment – Downloaded or scanned copy of school’s bank account statement reflecting the initial payment made by the student, with seal and signature of authorized signatory. This may be sent to us through e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or by post/courier together with the authenticated acceptance letter.

Proof of financial capacity – This is intended to obviate instances wherein the student is able to make the initial payment but is unable to complete the course due to insufficient funds. Such proof may be in the form of 1) a bank certification or account statement showing a balance sufficient to cover the total course package cost after deducting the initial payment, in single or multiple accounts (with affidavit of sponsorship if account is not in the applicant’s name); or 2) notice of grant of loan to cover total course package cost, less the initial payment, duly attested and bearing the seal and signature of institution granting the loan. Combined proof of personal funds and approved loans, enough to cover the total outstanding course package cost, would also be acceptable.
FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS AND STUDENTS RETURNING FOR LICENSE RENEWAL AND RECENCY:

- Proof of initial/partial payment - Applicants must present proof of payment of at least 25% of their course fees in the form of a bank transfer certificate. Said certificate must be original and must bear the name and signature of the authorized signatory, as well as the seal and complete contact information of the bank. It must also be supported by an account statement of the bank account from which the payment was made. In case the bank account is not in the applicant’s name, an affidavit of sponsorship must be included.
- Current/previous Special Study Permit – To be submitted with the visa application form.
- Commercial/Private Pilot License – The original must be presented together with a photocopy at the Consular Window upon submission of the visa application for verification purpose. The original will be returned immediately after cross-checking with the photocopy.
