11 December 2021 – On Saturday, 11 December 2021, the Embassy of the Philippines participated and won Third Place in the first-ever ASEAN Volleyball Tournament organized by the ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC). The event was spearheaded by the ASEAN Heads of Missions together with the ANDC Secretariat and was hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia in Delhi.

This friendly and, first of its kind activity of the ASEAN in Delhi, aimed to foster camaraderie among the ASEAN Member States and was also an opportunity for the Embassies’ personnel to unwind and get physically healthy.

The Philippine Embassy was a 10-man Team composed of staff and local hires and their dependents. The event’s First Place was the Embassy of Myanmar. The Embassy of Vietnam came in Second Place. The Heads of Missions also had their separate Team and they played against the Team of the Embassy of Myanmar.
