17 March 2021- March is National Women’s Month!  The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi led by Ambassador Ramon S. Bagatsing Jr., together with the Staff’s dependent young girls,participated in Women’s Month with their “Purple Mondays” advocacy.

Every Monday of March, wearing of purple is encouraged in the Embassy to remind our women and men of the global aim to stop gender-based violence, and discrimination against women and young girls.  Wearing purple on Mondays signify the Embassy’s support for women empowerment and gender equality.

The public was also informed of the Embassy’s activity with the consular staff’s distribution of brochures on the Philippines’ Magna Carta of Womento the public at the Passport Section. The Filipino community also participated in this advocacy. They are shown here holding the National Women’s Month streamer.
