The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, in coordination with the Indian Government, facilitated the repatriation of 241 stranded Filipinos in India aboard three (3) separate flights from 19 to 31 July2020.

220 stranded Filipino seafarers took two Air Asia chartered flights to Manila on 19 July 2020 (125 seafarers onboard) and 28 July 2020 (with 95 seafarers) from Ahmedabad in northwestern India.

Meanwhile, 21 stranded OFs in India were able to fly home aboard an Air India flight from Hyderabad on 25 July 2020. The flight is part of Vande Bharat Phase 4, bringing the total to eight (8) Air India flights that have flown stranded OFs from India to the Philippines since May 2020.

With these latest flights, the Embassy has facilitated the repatriation of 619 OFs who were stranded in India and Nepal in eleven (11) different flights and one sea voyage (through a Philippine Navy ship) since May 2020.
