The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, in coordination with both the Indian and Nepalese Governments, facilitated the repatriation of 140 stranded Filipinos in India and Nepal aboard two separate flights on 11 July 2020.
123 stranded Filipinos, including 99 seafarers, boarded Air India Flight 1312 from Hyderabad and arrived in Manila at 1440H. The flights was part of India’s Vande Bharat mission, Phase 4.
Meanwhile, 17 stranded Filipinos in Nepal took Himalaya Airlines H9 8641 in the evening of 11 July 2020 from Kathmandu and arrived in Manila the following day at 800 am. The flight was organized by the Nepalese Government to rescue stranded Nepalese nationals in Manila.
With these latest flights, the Embassy has facilitated the repatriation of 376 stranded OFs in India and Nepal since May 2020.
