21 December 2019- Philippine Ambassador Ramon S. Bagatsing, Jr. hosted a dinner meeting for the members of the Filipino Community at Le Meridien Hotel, Thimpu on 17 December 2019 at the sidelines of his official trip to Bhutan.

It was the first time that a Philippine Ambassador met members of the Filipino Community in Bhutan which, as of the latest records of the Embassy, number about seven who are working in luxury hotels and resorts in Himalayan kingdom.

The Philippines is looking forward to formally establishing diplomatic relations with Bhutan in the future.
