04 April 2019 – Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Nepal on 13 March 2019. She met with Joint Secretary Tapas Adhikari of South East Asia and the Pacific Division, MFA to discuss Philippine Nepal relations.

She then called on Minister of Foreign Affairs. FM Pradeep Kumar Gwayali who acknowledged progress in proposed MOU Establishing Consultation Mechanism, and cited education, agriculture, health and tourism as possible areas where collaboration could be deepened.

Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza also took the opportunity to inform the Minister that she would be completing her tour of duty in South Asia. FM Gwayali and JS Adhikari thanked the Ambassador for her initiatives and efforts in deepening Philippine-Nepal relations.

The Philippines and Nepal established relations on 12 February 1960.
