Ms. Valery Jane Anthony of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (at the center of photo), represented the Philippines in the 2019 International Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) in India, considered to be the biggest event of its kind, bringing young and promising future stars of the international culinary community on a single platform where they could connect, share ideas and innovations.  Students from 60 countries participated in this year’s YCO.

The 2019 edition will be held simultaneously in Delhi, Bangalore and Pune from 28-31 January 2019, with the Grand Finals slated to in Kolkata on 1 February 2019.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from various Embassies in New Delhi.  Deputy Chief of Mission Arvin de Leon represented the Philippine Embassy.
