The National Human Rights Commission of India organized the International Human Rights Conclave as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations in Ashok Hotel, New Delhi on 01 October 2018. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu was Chief Guest of the celebration.

The Conclave aimed at providing a platform to national human rights institutions and other human rights stakeholders to share their views, experiences, challenges and best practices on important human rights concerns.

Ms. Amihan Abueva, a Filipino human and child rights advocate, spoke on Empowerment of Women and Protection of Children with focus on Sustainable Development Goals. Ms. Abueva was Philippine Representative to the ASEAN Commission on the Rights of Women and Children in 2012-2014.END
