The Medical Council of India (MCI), headed by Dr. Jayshree Mehta met representatives of diplomatic missions in New Delhi at its headquarters on 11 September 2018 to address queries and concerns on of the implementation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The MCI President was joined by Dr. Reena Nayyar, MCI Secretary.
Also present in the meeting were representatives from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and other countries that host a substantial number of Indian nationals studying medicine students, namely: Australia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. The Philippine Embassy was represented by Deputy Chief of Mission Arvin de Leon and Third Secretary Charles Lawrence Ching.
