The Philippines-India Air Consultation Talks was held in Manila on 11-12 July 2018 to discuss the updating and modernizing of the Philippines-India Air Services Agreement, the expansion of air traffic rights as well as the capacity for the designated airlines of both countries, among others.
The Philippine team was led by Department of Transportation Undersecretary Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo together with representatives from Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Tourism, Civil Aeronautics Board, and Department of Foreign Affairs. The Indian side was led by Ministry of Civil Aviation Joint Secretary Dr. Shefali Juneja. She was accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Representatives from various airlines from the Philippines and India such as the Philippines Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Philippines Air Asia, Pal Express, Air India, Jet Airways, and Indigo also participated in the Air Consultation Talks, as observers.
