17 April 2018- To enable Embassy officers and staff to communicate with Indians, the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi started the first of the 15 sessions of its basic Hindi course. Classes were held in the Embassy library on 12 April 2018.
During the first session, the Embassy personnel were provided with an overview of the Hindi language and the Devanagari Script. They were also taught proper pronunciation as well as self-introduction sentences.
Hindi is an official language of India (alongside English), and is widely spoken across the Indian subcontinent.
