21 July 2017- Ms. Misha Halili Borbon from the University of the Philippines participated in the International Summer School (ISS) in India from 25 June to 04 August 2017. This is the second year the Philippines participated in the six-week summer program.
The ISS is an initiative of the Center for Escalation of Peace (CEP) with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs. It aims to promote international goodwill and cross-cultural dialogue amongst promising young individuals from top universities worldwide. With India as a study model, the program offers undergraduate course modules and experiences that introduce students to a range of issues and debates shaping contemporary developing societies.
The program consists of a four-week academic session held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus and a two-week field experience held after the academic session, including excursions plus opportunity to do volunteer teaching work for a social cause.
All participants were presented certificates for completion of the academic session.
