30 November 2016 – Twenty-four Filipino students and young professionals participated in the ASEAN-India Student Exchange Program 2016, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, ASEAN Secretariat and the Confederation of Indian Industry from 20-29 November 2016.
The ten-day program allowed participants from the 10 ASEAN member students to visit and interact with reputed educational institutions, major Indian companies as well as historical and cultural sites in Mumbai, Pune, Agra and New Delhi.
As part of the Program, participants also had an extensive interaction with respective Embassies. The Filipino participants visited the Philippine Embassy on 29 November 2016 and had a dialogue with the Ambassador at the Residence.
A Gala Dinner attended by the Ambassadors of ASEAN Missions accredited in New Delhi also provided students the opportunity to share their learnings /experiences and perform cultural numbers.
This is the 12th batch of ASEAN students to visit India.
