29 November 2016- 110 Philippine students participated in the 13th World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) held 26-27 November 2016 at Noida, India. This year’s theme for the competition, “Rap the Scrap”, allowed 2000 students from 55 countries including the Philippines to showcase solutions to reduce, manage and recycle waste, using robotics technology. The Philippine participants, ages 9 to 20 years old, came from different schools in the country competed in different categories (elementary, high school and collegeate and open competition). Some were able to reach the semi-finals. All students found their participation in the Olympiad a significant learning and experience.
