Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza met with members of the Filipino Community (FILCOM) during her maiden visit to Kochi, Kerala on 27 August 2016 and where she spoke of her advocacies to deepen Philippine- India relations as well the role of the FILCOM in raising the profile of the Philippines in India.

A consular outreach for Filipinos applying for passports was also conducted with applicants coming from Kochi, Mangalore and even Bangalore.

Kuruvinakunnel, who arranged and made available her boutique hotel,” The old Courtyard” in Fort Kochi as venue for said activity. Ms. Kuruvinakunnel is a Filipina married to Indian businessman. She has been in Kochi for 28 years.
