08 July 2016 – The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Philippine Trade and Investment Centre, Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Philippines in New Delhi organized a Business Round Table: Introduction on Trade and Investment Opportunities with the Philippines on 07 July 2016 at PHD House in New Delhi.

Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza supported the initiative and delivered a presentation on the Philippines-India Relations where she highlightedthe cultural connections, political and economic relations between Philippines and India. She also sharedthe positive economic developments in the Philippines and the 10-Point Socio Economic Agenda of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

Commercial Counsellor Michael Alfred V. Ignacio discussed the Strategic Trade and Investment Opportunities in the Philippines.

During the round table,testimonies of successful Indian companies in the Philippines were presented. High level business collaboration opportunities between India-Philippines through “The Bharti and Del Monte Philippines Joint Venture Experience” was discussed by Mr. Sandeep Tewari, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Field Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd.Strategic secondary location: Potentials of Philippines for Indian IT/BPM Companies wasdiscussed by Mr. Manoj Sahai, General Manager – Strategic Sales (ANZ), TATA Consultancy Services.

An Open Forum and networking followed the presentations.
