19 April 2016- Delegation from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) and National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), visited India from from 27 March 2016 to 05 April 2016, as members of the Department of Agriculture’s Inspection Mission for Foreign Meat Establishment (FME) accreditation. The delegation was divided into three groups to visit some meat plants from different states in India; Punjab, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, for evaluation and possible accreditation and to assure safety of meat for export to the Philippines.

The delegation was led by Dr. Enrico Miguel L. Capulong from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) along with Dr. Nehemias P. Burgo and Dr. Ronnie D. Domingo (BAI), and officials from the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), Dr. Isagani Julius S. Rodrigo, Dr. Rolando A. Marquez, Dr. Roberto S. Umali, Dr. Edmond S. Beltran, Dr. Emmanuel C. Lemana and Mr. Rogelio V. Penamora. END
