25 June 2019 – H.E. Ramon A. Bagatsing, Jr., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (AEP) of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of India, presented his credentials to the President of India, H.E. Ram NathKovind, in a ceremony held today at the Ashoka Hall of the RashtrapatiBhavan. Ambassador Bagatsing presented his credentials along with the AEPs of Ethiopia, Tajikistan and Nicaragua. During the ceremony, Ambassador Bagatsing was accompanied by Mr. Arvin R. de Leon, Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Charles Lawrence L. Ching, Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Atty. John Boitte C. Santos, Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Mr. Tomas A. Valerio, Jr., Finance Officer, Mr. Edwin Juan A. Batallones, Protocol Officer and Ms. Marra Kristine D. Ty, Cultural Officer.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Bagatsing paid a courtesy call on President Kovind where the Ambassador conveyed the Philippines’ greetings and discussed ways to enhance the bilateral relations of the two countries through trade, tourism and people-to-people links, as well as the proposed visit of the President to the Philippines and the celebration this year of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-India bilateral relations.
