30 November 2018-Philippine Vice President Maria Leonor G. Robredo called on Nepali Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun at the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Summit held in Kathmandu, Nepal. During the said meeting, the two vice presidents expressed their desires to deepen relations and cooperation between the two countries. VP Robredo encouraged both countries to work together as both are labor sending countries whose nationals face similar challenges abroad.

Vice President Robredo was joined by Philippine non-resident Ambassador to Nepal, Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza and Congressman Christopher de Venecia of the 4th District of Pangasinan.
