27 May 2017 – The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) activity in Goa for the Filipino Community on 27 May 2017.

Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza delivered the opening remarks, where she updated the community on developments in the Philippines including Philippine Chairmanship of ASEAN and its benefits to the country as well as developments in Southern Philippines. She also spoke on the Embassy’s projects and activities.

PHCG Mumbai Consul Swaminathan also participated in the GAD activity. During the Q and A segment, he responded to numerous consular queries including visa applications for Indian spouse and children.

During last year’s interaction with FILCOM in Goa, the attendees had numerous inquiries on the Overseas Citizens in India (OCI). The Embassy requested the Foreigners Regional Registrations Office (FRRO) to brief the FILCOM on the India’s OCI policy and procedures. Ms. Maria Monserrate represented the FRRO in this FILCOM gathering of about 150 attendees.
